Welcome at Motorhotel La Mouche!
Just 600km from Utrecht (The Netherlands) you will find the Vosges, an area rich in mountains, forests and lakes, everything a motorcyclist is looking for!
In addition, La Mouche offers the conviviality of a biker bar, good food, dry bike parking, guest bike workshop, bike wash area, excellent sleeping accommodations with private sanitary facilities and camping facilities.
The mix of HD to GS riders and the relaxed atmosphere makes it that many of our guests experience it as coming home again and again!
About us
Our family consists of Maarten (46), Bianca (42), Fleur (17), and Saar (10).
Fleur will be helping us during the season. Bianca's parents have also moved with us to enjoy their retirement here.
Maarten previously worked as a site manager/carpenter in construction, and Bianca as a project control manager in road construction. We both worked as freelancers, so entrepreneurship runs in our blood.
We had been saying for years that we really wanted to move to France, and we had also been going to France on vacation for years. We looked at various houses, B&Bs, etc., but never followed through, until we came across La Mouche. We both felt immediately, 'this is it!' and to this day, that feeling has never gone away.
We both ride motorcycles and try to ride around as much as possible, enjoying the freedom. Maarten rides a BMW R1200 GS and Bianca rides a Yamaha Tracer 7. The children have also come along regularly. It's great to be able to do this together as a family.
Before we became owners of La Mouche, we visited Jos and Anselma several times on our motorbikes and experienced the wonderful atmosphere. The way they've run La Mouche is fantastic, and it suits us perfectly. We'll continue running La Mouche in the same way, adding our own twist here and there, but we'll definitely retain the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food, and the comfortable accommodations!
